Driver Knee Bolster Reinforcement Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side).
2. Pull the bolster trim panel out and downward in order to release the clips securing the panel to the I/P.




3. Remove the bolts (1) securing the bolster bracket to the I/P.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the bolts (1) securing the bolster bracket to the I/P and tighten the bolts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).




2. Locate the bolster trim panel onto the I/P.
3. Push the trim panel in order to secure the clips to the I/P.
4. Install the insulator to the I/P. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side).
