Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement (With V92)
Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement (LH2 or LY7 with V92) (4.6L, 3.6L)
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).
3. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
4. Remove the power steering cooler bolts (1, 2) from the power steering cooler brackets.
5. Loosen the hose clamps and disconnect the power steering cooler hoses (1, 2) from the power steering cooler (3).
6. Remove the power steering cooler from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the power steering cooler (3) in the vehicle.
2. Install the power steering cooler hoses (1, 2) to the power steering cooler with the hose clamps.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
3. Install the power steering cooler bolts (1, 2) to the power steering cooler brackets and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
4. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
5. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding (Service and Repair).
