Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement




Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement (LY7) (3.6L)

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).




3. Disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose from the power steering cooler.




4. Remove the power steering reservoir inlet hose to frame retaining bolt.
5. Lower the vehicle.




6. Disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose from the power steering reservoir.
7. Remove the power steering cooler pipe/hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the power steering reservoir inlet hose to the vehicle.
2. Connect the power steering reservoir inlet hose to the power steering reservoir.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the power steering reservoir inlet hose to frame retaining bolt and tighten to 10 Nm (88 lb in).




4. Connect the power steering reservoir inlet hose to the power steering cooler.
5. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Front Air Deflector Replacement).
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
8. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding (Service and Repair).
