Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Solenoid Replacement - Bank 1 (Right Side) Intake



CAMSHAFT POSITION ACTUATOR SOLENOID VALVE SOLENOID REPLACEMENT - BANK 1 (RIGHT SIDE) INTAKE

Removal Procedure






1. Turn the ignition OFF.

2. Remove the front compartment sight shields as necessary.

3. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) actuator valve electrical connector.






4. Remove the CMP actuator valve bolt.

5. Remove the CMP actuator valve.

6. Inspect the CMP actuator valve seal for damage. Replace the seal if necessary.

Installation Procedure

1. Inspect the CMP actuator valve seal for damage. Replace the seal if necessary.






2. Install the CMP actuator valve.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the CMP actuator valve bolt.

Tighten the CMP actuator valve bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).






4. Connect the CMP actuator valve electrical connector.

5. Install the front compartment sight shields as necessary.
