Wiper Transmission Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the air inlet grilles.
2. Remove air inlet grille support bracket two screws. Lift up on windshield glass seal to expose screws.
3. Remove the power brake booster vacuum hose.
4. Unclip the knock sensor and fuel injection harness from the engine lift bracket.
5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the windshield wiper motor.
6. Remove the windshield wiper transmission upper link (1) from the windshield wiper motor crank arm (6).




7. Remove the windshield wiper transmission screws.
8. Remove the windshield wiper transmission with the motor.




9. Remove the wiper motor crank arm nut (7).
10. Remove the wiper motor crank arm (6).
11. Remove the windshield wiper transmission lower link (3) from the windshield wiper transmission (2).
12. Remove the windshield wiper motor bracket bolts (5) from the windshield wiper transmission (2).
13. Remove the windshield wiper motor (4) from the windshield wiper transmission (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the windshield wiper motor (4) to the windshield wiper transmission (2).

2. Install the windshield wiper motor bracket bolts (5) to the windshield wiper transmission (2).

Tighten
Tighten the wiper motor bracket bolts until fully seated but not stripped.

3. Install the windshield wiper transmission lower link (3) to the windshield wiper transmission (2).
4. Install the wiper motor crank arm (6).
5. Install the wiper motor crank arm nut (7).

Tighten
Tighten the wiper motor crank arm nut until fully seated but not stripped.




6. Install the windshield wiper transmission with the motor.
7. Install the windshield wiper transmission screws.

Tighten
Tighten the windshield wiper transmission screws until fully seated but not stripped.




8. Install the windshield wiper transmission upper link (1).
9. Connect the wiring harness connector to the windshield wiper motor.
10. Clip the knock sensor and fuel injection harness to the engine lift bracket.
11. Install the air inlet grille support bracket.
12. Install the air inlet grille support bracket screws.

Tighten
Tighten the air inlet support bracket screws until fully seated but not stripped.

13. Install the power brake booster vacuum hose.
14. Install the air inlet grilles.
