75. Forward Band Servo Piston Installation

- Tools Required
- J 38428 Servo Piston Ring Installer
- J 23075 Third Clutch/Servo Piston Spring Compressor





1. Install the servo apply rod (102). The round end goes into the case. Make sure the apply rod engages with the band.
2. Install the servo piston return spring (103).





3. Install J 38428 over the servo piston assembly (106).
4. Install the servo piston assembly (106) into the transmission case.
5. Install J23075. The tool offset faces toward the rear of the case.
6. Compress the servo piston return spring.
7. Install the servo piston retainer ring.
8. Remove tools.
