71. Main Case End Play Check

- Tools Required
- J 8001 Dial Indicator Set





1. Attach J 8001 rod to the extension housing using one of the bolt holes.
2. Mount Dial Indicator J 8001 on the rod and index it to the output shaft. Set the dial indicator to 0.

Important: If the end play is not correct, repeat the main case selective washer procedure.

3. Lift the output shaft upwards. The end play should measure 0.36 to 0.8 mm (0.014 to 0.03 inch).
4. Remove the tools.
