4. Fourth Clutch Accumulator Piston Removal

- Tools Required
- J 38559 Compressor
- J 38552 Accumulator Cover Remover
- J 38584 Adapter
- J 6125-1B Slide Hammer





1. Install J 38559 onto the adapter case.

Important: Do not compress the spring too far or damage to the piston may occur.

2. Compress the accumulator piston spring.
3. Remove the accumulator piston cover retainer ring (13).
4. Remove the tools.





5. Install J 38552 into the center hole of the accumulator piston cover (14).
6. Remove the accumulator piston cover (14) Using J 6125- 1B and J 38552.
7. Remove the tools.
8. Remove the fourth clutch accumulator piston spring (16).
9. Remove the fourth clutch accumulator piston (18).
10. Remove the piston pin (17).
11. Remove the accumulator piston seal (19).
12. Inspect the accumulator piston for damage.
13. Inspect the accumulator piston bore for:
- scoring
- wear
- damage
