Installing and Tightening Wheel Bolts

Perform the following procedure in order to avoid wheel distortion and to maintain a concentric assembly:
1. Snug the wheel bolts gradually.

Important: Excessive torque can warp the brake rotors. Excessive torque can damage the tapered wheel bolt seat of the wheel.





2. Use the criss-cross tightening sequence shown in order to tighten the wheel bolts to the specified torque setting using J39544-KIT or a torque wrench.
^ Tighten the wheel bolts to 109 Nm (80 ft. lbs.).
