Removal Procedure^ Tools Required
- J6627-A Tie Rod/Wheel Stud Puller
Caution: To help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide additional support for the vehicle at the opposite end from which components are being removed. This will reduce the possibility of the vehicle falling off the hoist.
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the stabilizer shaft link bolt from the rear lower control arm.
3. Remove the link from the rear lower control arm.
4. Lubricate the stabilizer shaft end liberally with silicone spray.
5. Shim the J6627-A Tie Rod/Wheel Stud Puller if the rubber bushing starts to pull out of the link.
6. Use the J6627-A Tie Rod/Wheel Stud Puller to press off the link from the stabilizer shaft.
Installation Procedure
1. Clean the stabilizer shaft/link mating surface to allow for easier installation and to protect the bushings from damage.
2. Lubricate the stabilizer shaft with silicone spray.
3. Install the link to the stabilizer shaft.
4. Install the link to the rear lower control arm.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Install the link bolt.
^ Tighten the link bolt to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
6. Lower the vehicle.
