Rear
Removal Procedure1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Using a transmission jack support the rear axle cradle at the differential.
3. Scribe a reference mark on the vehicle body around the perimeter of the rear axle cradle mount to ensure proper re-installation.
4. Remove the rear axle cradle mount to the vehicle body bolts.
5. Slightly lower the rear axle cradle.
6. Remove the rear axle cradle mount protective shield.
7. Remove the stabilizer shaft link bolts from the lower control arm.
8. Remove the stabilizer shaft link from the lower control arm.
9. Lower the rear cradle.
10. Remove the bolts for the stabilizer shaft mounting brackets.
11. Remove the stabilizer shaft.
12. Transfer stabilizer shaft links. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement
Installation Procedure
1. Install the stabilizer shaft.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the bolts for the stabilizer shaft mounting brackets.
- Tighten the stabilizer shaft mounting bracket baits to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).
3. Raise the rear axle cradle.
4. Install the stabilizer shaft link to the lower control arm.
5. Install the stabilizer shaft link bolts from the lower control arm.
- Tighten the stabilizer shaft link bolts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the rear axle cradle mount protective shields.
7. Raise the rear axle cradle into position.
8. Install the rear axle cradle mount to the vehicle body bolts.
- Tighten the rear axle cradle mount bolts to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.).
9. Remove the transmission jack from the rear differential.
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Adjust the rear toe to specifications. Refer to Rear Toe Adjustment.
