Tilt Spring - Assemble

Assembly Procedure





1. Install the tilt spring (2) and the tilt spring retainer (1) between the steering column housing (4) and the steering column housing support (5).
2. Note: The spring must engage the locating tab (3) on the steering column housing support.
3. Insert a No. 2 Phillips head screwdriver into the square opening (1) in the tilt spring retainer and turn to lock.
4. To install the ignition switch assembly, refer to Ignition Switch Assembly-Assemble-Off Vehicle.
