Power Steering Pump Flow Control Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Gear Replacement.
3. Remove the power steering fluid flow control valve actuator screws.





4. Remove the power steering fluid flow control valve actuator.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the power steering fluid flow control valve actuator.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the power steering fluid flow control valve actuator screws.
- Tighten the power steering fluid flow control valve actuator screws to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
3. Install the steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Gear Replacement.
4. Connect the negative battery cable Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Starting and Charging.
