Power Steering Fluid Reservoir: Service and Repair
Removal Procedure1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle to catch excess fluid from the power steering reservoir.
2. Siphon the fluid from the reservoir to prevent excessive spillage.
3. Remove the reservoir hose clamp.
4. Remove the reservoir hoses from the reservoir.
5. Remove the reservoir clamp bolt.
6. Remove the reservoir.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the reservoir.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the reservoir clamp bolt.
- Tighten the reservoir clamp bolt to 7 Nm(62 inch lbs.).
3. Install the reservoir hoses to the reservoir.
4. Install the reservoir hose clamps.
5. Fill the fluid reservoir with fluid.
6. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System.
