Ride Height Sensor: Service and Repair
Removal ProcedureCaution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ALC sensor.
4. Unclip the wires from the rear axle cradle.
5. Release the self-locking tabs to remove the link rod from the sensor arm.
6. Remove the ALC sensor bolts.
7. Remove the ALC sensor.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the ALC sensor.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the ALC sensor bolts.
- Tighten the ALC sensor bolts to 14 Nm (124 inch lbs.).
3. Secure the link rod to the ALC sensor arm with the locking tabs.
4. Route the ALC sensor wiring to the rear axle cradle.
5. Clip the ALC sensor wiring to the rear axle cradle.
6. Reconnect the electrical connection.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
9. Reprogram the ALC system. Using the scan tool follow the instructions on the display screen.
10. Check for DTCs.
11. Verify system operation.
