Parking Brake Warning Switch: Service and Repair

Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the parking brake lever. Refer to Park Brake Lever Replacement.





2. Remove the parking brake switch bolt (1) from the parking brake indicator switch (2).





3. Disconnect the parking brake switch connector (1) from the parking brake switch (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the parking brake switch connector (1) to the parking brake switch (2).
2. Install the parking brake switch.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





3. Install the parking brake switch bolt (1) attaching the parking brake indicator switch (2) to the [ever.
^ Tighten the parking brake switch bolt to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).
4. Install the parking brake lever. Refer to Park Brake Lever Replacement.
