Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Inflator Module Handling And Storage Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the two Torx(R) screws from the back of the steering wheel.
3. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module from the steering wheel.
4. Remove the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) from the inflatable restraint steering wheel module yellow 2-way connector.
5. Disconnect the inflatable restraint steering wheel module yellow 2-way connector.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the inflatable restraint steering wheel module yellow 2-way connector.
2. Install the CPA.
3. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module to the steering wheel.
4. Install the two Torx(R) screws to the back of the steering wheel.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 8 N.m (72 lb in).

5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
