Glove Box Lamp: Description and Operation

The IP compartment lamp illuminates when the delayed interior lamps relay supplies voltage to the IP compartment lamp and the IP compartment switch provides a ground path.

When the IP compartment is opened, the IP compartment lamp illuminates, if the ignition is in RUN or after a door has been opened, activating the delay interior relay. The IP compartment lamp will operate ten minutes after the ignition switch has been turn OFF.
