Roof Rail Courtesy Lamp

The roof rail courtesy lamp are equipped with a three position switch. Placing the three position switch in the center position enable the roof rail lamps to come on with the interior lamps switch or during illuminated entry. Placing the three position switch toward the front of the vehicle illuminates the lamps. The roof rail lamps will only illuminate if the ignition is in RUN or a door has been opened, activating the delay interior relay. The root rail lamps will operate ten minutes after the ignition switch has been turn OFF. Placing the three position switch towards the rear of the vehicle disables the lamps.

The roof rail courtesy lamps receive voltage from the delayed interior lamps relay anytime the BCM is awake. The roof rail courtesy lamps have a three position switch. When the switch toward the rear of the vehicle the roof rail courtesy lamp will be disabled. When the switch is in the center position the roof rail courtesy lamp receives a ground from the interior lamps relay when the illuminated entry feature is active. Placing the roof rail lamp switch toward the front of the vehicle will ground the roof rail courtesy lamp and illuminate it at all times.
