Compressor Hose Assembly Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
The compressor hose assembly is located between the compressor and the discharge hose at the LH front side of the engine compartment.




1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the compressor.
3. Remove the compressor hose quick connect fitting at the discharge hose.




4. Remove the compressor hose quick connect fitting at the evaporator line extension.




5. Remove the compressor hose (2) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the compressor hose.




2. Install the compressor hose quick connect to the evaporator line extension:
^ Use new O-rings.
^ Lubricate the new O-rings with mineral oil, 525 viscosity.




3. Install the compressor hose quick connect to the discharge hose:
^ Use new O-rings.
^ Lubricate the new O-rings with mineral oil, 525 viscosity.
4. Install the compressor.
5. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
6. Leak test the fitting(s) of the repaired or reinstalled component using J 39400-A.
