Air Mix Actuator Replacement - Driver

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
The driver side air mix actuator (4) is located on the lower, LH side of the HVAC module. The actuator is below and forward of the heater core.




1. Remove the LF sound insulator.
2. Remove the LF floor air outlet.
3. Remove the driver side air mix actuator cover screws.
4. Remove the driver side air mix actuator cover (1).
5. Disconnect the driver side air mix actuator electrical connector (3).
6. Remove the driver side air mix actuator screws.
7. Remove the driver side air mix actuator from the linkage (2).
8. Remove the driver side air mix actuator (4).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the driver side air mix actuator (4).
2. Install the driver side air mix actuator to the linkage (2).
3. Install the driver side air mix actuator screws until fully seated and not stripped.
4. Connect the driver side air mix actuator electrical connector (3).
5. Install the driver side air mix actuator cover (1).
6. Install the driver side air mix actuator cover screws until fully seated and not stripped.
7. Install the LF floor air outlet.
8. Install the LF sound insulator.
9. Synchronize the actuators:
^ Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
^ Simultaneously press and hold the AUTO and OFF buttons on the H-A/C control panel for at least 5 seconds.
