Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the rear exhaust section. Refer to Resonator Replacement.
3. Remove the heat shield nuts.
4. Remove the heat shield.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the heat shield.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the heat shield nuts to the heat shield.
Tighten the heat shield nuts to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs.).
3. Install the rear exhaust section. Refer to Resonator Replacement
4. Inspect all exhaust system clearances. Refer to Exhaust System Clearances.
5. Lower the vehicle.
