Oil Baffle Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Remove the lower oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement (Lower) or Oil Pan Replacement (Upper).
5. Remove the upper oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement (Lower) or Oil Pan Replacement (Upper).
6. Remove the oil baffle bolts.
7. Remove the oil baffle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the oil baffle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the oil baffle bolts.
Tighten the oil baffle bolts to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).
3. Install the upper oil pan housing. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement (Lower) or Oil Pan Replacement (Upper).
4. Install the lower oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement (Lower) or Oil Pan Replacement (Upper).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Refill the engine oil. Refer to Capacities -Approximate Fluid.
7. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure.
