Engine Mount: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure

^ Tools Required
- J 28467-360 Engine Support Fixture
- J 28467-450 Engine Support Fixture Adapter
- J 36857 Lift Brackets





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the engine mount lower nut.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Install the J 28467-A to support the engine.
5. Slightly raise the engine to release tension on the mount.
6. Remove the engine mount upper nut.

Important: Note the position of the guide pin (1) when removing the engine mount.

7. Remove the engine mount.

Installation Procedure

Important: Ensure the engine mount guide pin (1) is installed in to the guide hole in the engine front crossmember frame.





1. Install the engine mount.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the engine mount upper nut.
Tighten the engine mount upper nut to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower the engine.
4. Remove the J 28467-A.
5. Raise and support the vehicle.
6. Install the engine mount lower nut.
Tighten the engine mount lower nut to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
7. Lower the vehicle.
