Coolant Reservoir: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Partially drain the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
2. Remove the surge tank hoses.
3. Remove the surge tank clip (1).
4. Slide the surge tank (2) inward until the tabs disengage to remove from the wheelhouse panel.
5. Disconnect the low coolant level switch connector (3).
6. Clean the surge tank using a mild soap and water if the surge tank is to be reused.

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the low coolant level switch connector (3).
2. Engage the surge tank tabs to the wheelhouse panel.
3. Install the surge tank clip (1).
4. Install the surge tank hoses.
5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
