Cable and Motor Gear Inspection

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Slide the sunscreen all the way rearward.
2. Open the glass panel.
3. Remove the wind deflector.
4. Remove the screws from the track inspection cover (1).
5. Remove the track inspection cover.
6. Check the tracks and the gear to the sunroof actuator motor.
7. Check for noises in the cables and/or the sunroof actuator motor gear mechanism.
8. Clean the metal or the rust from the moving part.
9. The glass panel must be in the closed position.
10. Align the glass panel with the roof panel.
11. Check the opening of the glass panel and the litter arms. Ensure that the glass panel is locked in place.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the track inspection cover (1).
2. Install the screws to the track inspection cover.

Tighten
Tighten the track inspection cover screws. The track inspection cover screws must be fully seated and not stripped.

3. Install the wind deflector.
4. Close the glass panel.
5. Slide sunscreen closed.
