Instrument Panel Compartment - Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.
2. Open the instrument panel (I/P) compartment box.
3. Remove the RH access panel.




4. Remove the outer air deflector screw.




5. Remove the outer air deflector.




6. Remove the lower module cover screws.




7. Remove the four screws from the front I/P compartment.




8. Remove the two screws from the side of I/P compartment.
9. Disconnect the I/P compartment lamp switch and lamp wiring connections.
10. Remove the cool air hose from rear of I/P compartment.
11. Remove the I/P compartment from vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the I/P compartment to vehicle.
2. Install the cool air hose to rear of I/P compartment.
3. Connect the I/P compartment lamp switch and the lamp wire connectors.
4. Install the screws to the front of I/P compartment.

Tighten
Tighten the screws until fully seated but not striped.




5. Install the two screws to the side of I/P compartment.

Tighten
Tighten the screws until fully seated but not stripped.




6. Install the screws to the lower module cover.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 8 N.m (71 lb in).




7. Install the outer air deflector.




8. Install the outer air deflector screw.




9. Install the RH access panel.
10. Close the I/P compartment door.
11. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
