Front Door Striker: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Mark the position of the striker.
2. Remove the lock striker plate screws.
3. Remove the lock striker.
4. Remove any spacers.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install any spacers that were removed.
2. Install the striker to the match marks made before removal.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions

3. Install the striker plate screws.

Tighten
Tighten the striker plate screws to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

4. Clean off the marks to the striker area.
5. Adjust striker if necessary. Refer to Door Striker Adjustment - Front Door.
