CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The heater and A/C control module supplies a voltage to the control circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay, which ranges between 6-8 Volts. The heater and A/C control module test the control circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay every 40 milliseconds.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
One of the following conditions can cause this DTC to set:
^ An open in the ignition 1 voltage circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay coil is present while the rear defogger is active.
^ An open in the battery positive voltage circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay coil is present while the rear defogger is active.
^ An open in the ground circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay is present while the rear defogger is active.
^ A short to ground in the control circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay is present while the rear defogger is active.
^ An open in the heated mirror fuse supply voltage circuit is present while the rear defogger is active
^ An open in the heated mirror supply voltage input circuit is present while the rear defogger is active.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The rear defogger is disabled.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
A history DTC will clear after 20 consecutive ignition cycles.

The DTC will clear from current status when one of the following conditions is met:
^ An open in the ignition 1 voltage circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay coil.
^ An open in the battery positive voltage circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay coil.
^ An open in the ground circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay.
^ A short to ground in the control circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay.
^ An open in the heated mirror fuse supply voltage circuit.
^ An open in the heated mirror supply voltage input circuit.
