CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The heater and A/C control module supplies a voltage to the control circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay which ranges between 6-8 Volts. The heater and A/C control module tests the control circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay every 40 milliseconds.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
A short to ground on the control circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay is present while the rear defogger is active.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The rear defogger is disabled.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
^ A history DTC will clear after 20 consecutive ignition cycles if the condition for the fault is no longer present.
^ A short to ground on the control circuit of the heated outside rearview mirror and rear defogger relay is no longer present.
