Windshield Washer Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Remove the air filter housing.
2. Reposition the powertrain control module.
3. Remove the upper mounting screw.




4. Remove the left wheelhouse panel extension.
5. Disconnect the two electrical connectors.
6. Remove the washer hose.
7. Remove two nuts and the washer solvent container.




8. Remove the washer pump from the washer solvent container.
9. Remove the solvent level sensor from the washer solvent container.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the solvent level sensor onto the washer solvent container.
2. Install the washer pump onto the washer solvent container.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.




3. Install the washer solvent container with two nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the two nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

4. Connect the electrical connectors and the washer hose.
5. Install the left wheelhouse panel extension.




6. Install the upper mounting screw.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

7. Reposition the powertrain control module.
8. Install the air filter housing.
