Power Window Motor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION:
^ It this procedure must be done with the regulator out of the vehicle, the counterbalance spring must be removed first. The regulator lift arms are under tension from the counterbalance spring and can cause serious injury if the motor is removed without removing the spring.
^ The sector gear must be locked in place once the regulator is removed from the door. The regulator lift arm is under tension from the counterbalance spring and can cause personal injury if the motor is removed without locking the sector gear in position.




1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the water deflector.




3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
4. Remove the 3 retaining nuts.
5. Remove the motor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the motor.
2. Install the nuts.
3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Install the water deflector.
5. Install the door trim panel.
