Stabilizer Bushing: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.
3. Using a pair of needle nose pliers, stabilizer link ball stud and remove the upper nut.
4. Remove the stabilizer link from the strut.
5. Remove the bolts from the stabilizer link brackets.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator on stabilizer shaft and bracket.
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft bracket and bolts.
- Tighten the stabilizer shaft bracket bolts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the stabilizer shaft link to the strut.
- Tighten the stabilizer shaft link nut to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the tire and wheel.
- Tighten the wheel nuts to 140 Nm (100 ft. lbs.).
5. Lower the vehicle.
