Control Arm Bushing Replacement (Upper Control Arm)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.





3. Remove the inner and outer control arm bolts.
4. Raise the control arm up over the shock tower in order to remove the control arm from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Raise the control arm up over the shock tower in order to install the control arm in the vehicle.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the inner and outer control arm bolts. Place the screw jack under the outboard end of the lower control arm in order to bring the suspension into design position. The inner control arm nuts must be tightened in design position in order to reduce the wind up in the bushings.
- Tighten the upper control arm inner and outer nut to 57 Nm (42 ft. lbs.).

3. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
4. Lower the vehicle.
