Dimmer Switch - Assemble

ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE

- Tool Required
- J 41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture





1. The column must be in the 12 o'clock position.

IMPORTANT: To align the steering shaft assembly to the 12 o'clock position. Turn the key to the off/lock position. Pull the key out and turn the steering shaft until you hear a click.

2. Install the dimmer switch mounting stud (5).
- Tighten the screw to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the dimmer switch assembly (3).
4. Install the Torx(R) washer head screw (1).
- Tighten the screw to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.).

5. Install the dimmer switch rod (2).
6. Install the hexagon nut (4).
- Tighten the screw to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.).

7. Reconnect the dimmer switch connector onto the dimmer switch assembly (3).





8. Put the wire harness assembly into the wire harness strap (1).

IMPORTANT: Turn the key to the on position to unlock the steering shaft.

9. Remove the column from the J 41352.
