Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Remove the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (DeVille), Compartment Sill Plate Replacement -Rear (Eldorado), or Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (V4U) in Body Rear End.
3. Remove the 2 yaw rate sensor mounting nuts (1).
4. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector.
5. Remove the yaw rate sensor (2) from the mounting studs.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the yaw rate sensor (2) onto the mounting studs.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the 2 yaw rate sensor nuts (1).

Tighten the 2 yaw rate sensor nuts to 6 Nm (4.4 ft. lbs.).

3. Install the yaw rate sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (DeVille), Compartment Sill Plate Replacement -Rear (Eldorado), or Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (V4U) in Body Rear End.
5. Perform the ABS Diagnostic System Check. Refer to A Diagnostic System Check - ABS.
