Stoplamp Switch Replacement (Stoplamp/BTSI Switch)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

NOTICE: When installing the brake pedal switches it is very important that the brake pedal remain in the full up or at rest position or damage to the brake system and/or switch misadjustment may occur.





1. Remove the IP sound insulators, as needed for access.
2. Twist the lower switch (4) counter-clockwise and remove.
3. Disconnect the lower switch electrical connectors.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Connect the lower switch electrical connectors.
2. Install the lower switch into the lower retainer. Face the switch connector to the 6 o'clock position.
3. Twist the switch clockwise until travel has stopped. The switch connector will face the 8 o'clock position when the switch is in the fully locked position.
4. Install sound insulator.
