Muffler Replacement (Right)

Removal Procedure

- Tools Required
- J 29800 Cut-Off Tool





1. Raise the vehicle, Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Support the intermediate pipe.
3. Cut the intermediate pipe (1) as close to the muffler as the J 29800 cut-off tool will permit.





4. Remove the muffler hanger and the muffler/tailpipe assembly.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the muffler and the hanger.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Connect the muffler to the intermediate pipe, using a U-bolt clamp.

- Tighten the clamp nuts to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
