Brake Pedal Assy: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the left hand sound insulator.
2. Remove the central power supply and the mounting bracket.
3. Remove the upper pivot bolt.
4. Remove the bushings and spacer.
5. Remove the retainer and washer from the pedal stud.
6. Disengage the booster pushrod from the pedal stud.
7. Remove the pedal from the car.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Position the pedal in the car.
2. Position the booster pushrod on the pedal.
3. Install the washer and retainer.
4. Install the bushings and spacer.
5. Install the upper pivot bolt.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the pivot bolt to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).

6. Connect the central power supply.
7. Install the bracket
8. Install the left hand sound insulator.
