Instrument Panel Storage Compartment - Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Open the instrument panel storage compartment door.
3. Remove the 4 fasteners (2, 7) that retain the instrument panel storage compartment assembly (8) to the instrument panel.
4. Remove the 2 fasteners from inside the instrument panel storage compartment.
5. Partially remove the instrument panel storage compartment assembly (8).
6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
7. Remove the instrument panel storage compartment.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Partially install the instrument panel storage compartment.
2. Connect the electrical connectors.
3. Install the instrument panel storage compartment assembly (8).
4. Install the 4 fasteners (2, 7) in order to retain the instrument panel storage compartment to the instrument panel.
5. Install the 2 fasteners to the inside of the instrument panel storage compartment.
6. Close the instrument panel storage compartment door.
7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to "Enabling the SIR System" in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
