Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Tamper Switch

The rear compartment lid is equipped with a lock cylinder tamper switch. Any movement of the lock cylinder activates the tamper switch. Both or either of the following actions activate the lock cylinder tamper switch:
^ Rotation
^ In and out movement of the lock cylinder caused by a forced entry

The following conditions may activate the system intermittently:
^ A loose or corroded rear compartment lid lock cylinder tamper switch connector Inspect the switch connector for proper connection. Repair or replace the switch as needed.
^ The retainer is not firmly installed to the cylinder. Reinstall the retainer or replace the retainer with a new retainer.
