MIST Operation
With the ignition switch in the ON position, B+ is applied to terminal 8 of the windshield wiper motor relay K8. B+ is also applied to terminal 4 of the windshield wiper and windshield washer switch. When the windshield wiper and windshield washer switch is in the MIST position, B+ is applied through circuit FA4 to terminal 6 of the windshield wiper motor relay K8. B+ is also applied to terminal 1 of the windshield washer pump. When B+ is applied to terminal 1 of the windshield washer pump, the windshield washer pump operates and sprays windshield washer fluid on the windshield. Terminal 2 of the windshield washer pump is permanently grounded to G103.
When B+ is detected at terminal 6 of the windshield wiper motor relay K8, the windshield wiper motor relay K8 outputs B+ from terminal 2 to terminal 8 of the windshield wiper and windshield washer switch for approximately 5 seconds. The windshield wiper switch applies the voltage through circuit B7 to terminal A of the windshield wiper motor. The windshield wiper motor operates the wipers for approximately 5 seconds and then returns the wipers to the PARK position.
