Front Door Window Glass: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURECAUTION: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the driver-door. When operated, the Express Down Feature allows the door window to drop very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.
1. Disable the SIR system if equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming.
2. Roll the window halt way down.
3. Tape the window into place.
4. Remove the front door trim panel.
5. Remove the front door water deflector.
6. Remove the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped.
7. Remove the front door inner belt sealing strip.
8. Remove the outside rearview mirror.
9. Remove the front door window guide channel.
10. Remove the window weatherstrip.
11. Remove the front door window guide from the sash.
12. Remove the window regulator/motor.
13. Remove the tape from the window.
14. Remove the front door window through outer door frame, Pull straight up on the window until released from the door channels.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install front door window through outer door frame.
2. Align the guides on the window to the channels, the push then window downward seating them into the channels.
3. Pull the window half way and tape the window in place.
4. Install the window regulator/motor.
5. Install the window weatherstrip.
6. Install the front door window lower channel.
7. Install the outside rearview mirror.
8. Install the front door inner belt sealing strip.
9. Install the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped.
10. Install the front door water deflector.
11. Install front door trim panel.
12. Remove tape from the window.
13. Enable the SIR system if equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming.
