Shift Linkage: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Position shift lever in NEUTRAL.
2. Raise and suitably support vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove clips securing rod to transmission and shift lever.
4. Remove rod from transmission and shift lever.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the rod to transmission and shift lever.
2. Install the clips securing rod to transmission and shift lever.
3. Adjust rod. Refer to Shift Control Linkage Adjustment.
4. Lower the vehicle.
