40. Reverse Clutch Parts Installation

1. Install the reverse clutch pressure plate (617) with the flat side up. The lug on the pressure plate must engage the narrow notch in the case that faces the oil pan mounting surface.
2. Install the reverse clutch plates (615, 616). Begin with a steel plate and alternate with a composite plate.
3. Install the reverse clutch cushion plate (614). The cushion plate lugs must engage the narrow notches in the transmission case.
