Parking Brake Warning Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the parking brake lever.
2. Remove the parking brake switch bolt (1) attaching the parking brake indicator switch (2) to the lever.





3. Remove the parking brake switch wiring harness connector (1) from the parking brake switch (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the parking brake switch wiring harness connector (1) from the parking brake switch (2).
2. Install the parking brake switch to the lever.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





3. Install the parking brake switch bolt (1) attaching the rear parking brake indicator switch (2) to the lever.
^ Tighten the parking brake switch bolt (1) to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.).

4. Install the parking brake lever.
