Not all of the tools listed are required for this specific application. If a special tool is required, the J number will be called out in the diagnostic procedure. A tool's abilities and limitations must be known before the tool is used. This knowledge should include the scan tool operation, the proper use of test lights, the jumper wires, and the DVM.
