Intake Air Resonator Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
2. Release the air intake hose clamps from the air cleaner housing and the MAF sensor.
3. Remove the air intake hose (6) from the air cleaner housing and from the MAF sensor.
4. Release the air inlet hose clamps at the throttle body.
5. Remove the air inlet hoses from the throttle body.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the switchover valve.
7. Disconnect the vacuum connections at the switchover valve and the vacuum tank.
8. Remove the intake air resonator nuts.
9. Remove the intake air resonator.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the intake air resonator.
2. Insert the intake air resonator guide pin into the rubber mount.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the intake air resonator nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the intake air resonator nuts to 3 N.m (27 lb in).
4. Connect the vacuum connections at the switchover valve and the vacuum tank.
5. Connect the electrical connector to the switchover valve.
6. Install the air inlet hoses to the throttle body
7. Install the air inlet hose clamps at the throttle body.
8. Install the air intake hose to the air cleaner housing and the MAF sensor.
9. Install the air intake hose clamps to the air cleaner housing and the MAF sensor.
10. Connect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
