Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor:

The Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor signal is used to determine which of the two cylinders is on a firing stroke. The ECM can then properly synchronize the ignition system, the fuel injectors, and the knock control. This sensor is also used to detect a misfire. The ECM also monitors the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor system for malfunctions. The following DTC indicates that the ECM has detected a CKP system problem: DTC P0335 CKP Sensor Circuit
