Horn: Service and Repair




REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: To help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide additional support for the vehicle at the opposite end from which components are being removed. This will reduce the possibility of the vehicle falling off the hoist.

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the electrical connections from the horn from under the left front fascia.
3. Remove the horn bracket bolt (1).
4. Remove the horn bracket, with the horns attached, from the vehicle.
5. Remove the applicable horn bolt from the bracket.
6. Remove the horn from the bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the horn to the bracket.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the horn bolt to the bracket (1).

Tighten
Tighten the horn bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connections to the horns.
4. Lower the vehicle.
